Every twenty-five years, peace in the world of Saresia is shattered: the Shadows return to claim flesh, cities, and hope. Standing between humanity and destruction is the Niveous Circle, an ancient organization that has guarded the four Bios for over a thousand years—the pillars upon which the civilization’s technology is built.

Each of the four Fronts chooses its own champion, the Incarnation, who will merge with the power of the Bios to drive back the darkness, protected at the cost of their life by a loyal Guardian. So it has been for more than a millennium.

But when a sudden attack strikes the Elemental Front and reduces its Sanctuary to ashes, the Bios awaken five years too soon, catching everyone unprepared. The new Incarnations and Guardians—still inexperienced, still incomplete—must nevertheless set out, because the countdown has already begun, and the return of the Shadows will wait for no one.

But who is behind the attack that awakened the Bios and the Shadows ahead of time? Is it truly the ancient enemy… or has something even worse been born?

Because sometimes darkness does not come from outside.

It grows from within.
